I couldn’t figure out what was going through my mind when I accepted the job. I wasn’t even sure why Jaylie thought I would make a good principal, I mean I was only a substitute teacher. But now, as I was walking down the halls of Feylin Grove High School I felt strangely excited about this new “adventure” I was about to embark on.

Main Office

Emily walks in and goes to secretary

Hello, I am Emily Parker, the new, um, Principal.

Anna White
Oh My God. Jaylie really does have a good sense of humor

Emily
What?

Jaylie walks in

Jaylie
Anna be nice. Welcome to our school, Emily.

Anna
Wait, she’s really the new principal???

Jaylie
Yes and you’re probably lucky she can’t fire you.

Anna
I’m so soory, it’s just that you’re so… different…. From our last principal.

Emily
Um, it’s okay. (turns to Jaylie) So , where do I need to go?

Jaylie
This way, there are a few papers you need to sign then I will show you your office.

Well, there was nothing I could do now. I am the new Principal of Feylin Grove High School and I have to be ready for anything.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was getting ready to introduce myself to the whole school and I was NERVOUS.

I imagined 25 ways to die within those 3 seconds walking on stage and all of them sounded better then being on the stage there.

Hello Overyone I am Emily Parker (pause start pacing stage) I guess I will start by telling you all a bit about me. I grew up in many places but I went to high school in a smallish town in Nebraska. I have 2 sisters and a brother. And I used to be a substitute teacher. I am very excited to be your new principal and I think this is going to be an excellent ye…. Ahhhhh
(Falls of stage)

As I was waking up I wished I was dead. The entire school was in the auditiorium and I had managed to knock myself in from of them all. This was going to be an interesting year.

Emily wakes up

Welcome back, how do you feel

MY head aches

Man
Yeah you hit it pretty hard

Emily
Who are you?

Man
Oh, right, I’m Spenser Simmons, The Vice Principal

Emily
Emily Parker, Nice to meet you

Spenser
Well your introduction went much better than mine. I managed to set the whole stage on fire

Emily
(laughs) Really?

Spenser
No, but it did go through my mind that it was possible, I actually tripped and knocked over the statue of the schools founder. But at least the fire story got you to laugh
